Red Rock Wild campsite (or Graig Goch in Welsh) is nestled under the Margam Mountain – just 5 minutes away from the amazing Margam Country Park. The campsite includes a 4 acre field plus a 5 acre woodland area which has its own fire circle and dens for children to explore.
We are ideally located just a few minutes drive from junction 38 of the M4, between Cardiff and Swansea.
There are some simple swings and log steps to enjoy. The campsite is located within walking distance to Margam Park (our next door neighbour!). Margam Park is an amazing 800 acre deer park where there are a large number of beautiful walking trails and mountain bike tracks to explore. There is also water sporting activities, along with the cultural and historical buildings including Margam Castle and Margam Abbey to experience.
Ideally Located
The Red Rock Campsite is situated on a working farm, which is a truly beautiful and peaceful place. This also means that we have plenty of local produce available, plus plenty of farm animals for you to see including sheep, cows, chickens, horses, and our beautiful border collies, Rex and Spot.
The local Asda Supermarket in Pyle is only a 5 minute drive away, should you require any food or supplies. There is also a local shop in Margam Village which is even closer.
Facilities
We have a woodland communal fire pit which is ideal for meeting other campers and to toast marshmallows over the fire. You can also borrow some of our own fire pits too, or bring your own firepit to have your own fire close to your camping area. We request that you use the firepits to keep the fire off the grass and you properly supervise your own fire when it’s lit.
The campsite has 4 ladies fully functional toilets, plus 2 men’s toilets, plus 3 urinals in the one shipping container. There is also a unisex fully functional toilet and 3 portaloos dotted around the field. We also have a trailer toilet that can be used. There is hot and cold water in the washing up area and also a hot shower all year around.
